SHARP
event at Ocean Terminal!
SHARP and 3rd
year student nurses from Edinburgh
Napier University
worked together to increase awareness of cardiovascular risk factors at
an event at Ocean
Terminal Shopping Centre in Edinburgh
in September 2007
Approximately
225 people had their heart health assessed by having their blood
pressure and waist measurements taken and their BMI calculated.
Lorraine Kelly,
one of SHARP's Patrons participated in the
London Marathon in April 2005 raising £12,306.65 for SHARP.
The huge sum will
help us greatly continue our research into causes and prevention of
cardiovascular disease. The Executive Committee are grateful to Lorraine for her
continuing support and commitment to SHARP.
Marks &
Spencer Plc held a Fashion Show in aid of SHARP on 28th October 2005 in
the Hilton Hotel, Dundee. The evening
was enjoyed by all who attended and raised in excess of £3,000. We are
very grateful to Marks & Spencer's and everyone who contributed to
make the event such a great success
