The Scots and those from the north of England have one of the greatest risks in the world of dying young from a heart attack, stroke or disease of the arteries affecting circulation, especially in the legs.

There is now a great deal of knowledge about the causes of cardiovascular disease which we usually call risk factors.

Risk Factors

Having High blood pressure
An unhealthy diet
Not taking enough exercise
